FAQ

How do I create and connect Telegram bot?
You can create bots using a @BotFather bot in your Telegram application.
  1. Open @BotFather
  2. Type /newbot and follow instructions
  3. Follow the steps and copy the bot token - you will need it in Zendesk.
  4. Disable bot group privacy with /setprivacy command if you plan to add the bot to Telegram groups or channel discussions.
  5. Go to Zendesk ->Admin Center -> Channel apps -> Telegramer -> Add account and paste the bot token
Can I connect my personal Telegram account?
No. We only connect Telegram bots. It's a recommended way for businesses to use Telegram.
Does the integration work with comments in Telegram channels?
Yes. You have to add the bot to discussion chat connected to your channel.
What Zendesk plan is required?
You can use Zendesk Support Team or Zendesk Suite Team and above.
Can I procatively contact any Telegram user?
Well, we'd love to allow it, but you can only contact users who engaged with your bot for now
How do my customers find my bot?
They can search for your bot name in Telegram or follow the bot link or QR code you publish on your pages or apps.
Can end users manage multiple tickets with Telegramer Zendesk integration?
Not at the moment. Group chat or users can have only one ticket open simultaneously due to a lack of threading in Telegram 1:1 chats
